Episode 8: Enter: Metal Sonic

(BGM: 1)
Back at Robotropolis, Robotnik return from his defeat at Ice Mountain, and got some life data of Sonic, Tails, Sally, Elias, and Fiona. Snively was surprised to see his uncle return, but Robotnik told him that he won't be in Robotropolis for long. All day, Robotnik worked on a new robot, complete with Sonic's life data.

Robotnik: “At last, he is nearly complete.”

Then Coconuts came in and sees that Robotnik is working on the robot.

Coconuts: "Hey boss, what are you working on?"

Robotnik: "The key to destroy Sonic and the Freedom Fighters for good!"

Coconuts: (looks at the robot) "Hey, that looks exactly like the hedgehog!"

Robotnik: "That's because he's a robotic clone of Sonic."

Coconuts: “Oh. What's he called?”

Robotnik: “Metal Sonic.”

Robotnik was right, on the table is a blue robot like Sonic, and it has metal claws, a yellow engine inside and some bolts on the muzzle and pointy nose. Then Robotnik pressed the button and purple lightning bolts strikes Metal Sonic, and after that, Metal's red eyes activates.

Robotnik: "Ah, at last! Metal Sonic is complete!"

Coconuts: “Can he talk?”

Robotnik: "Of course he can, monkey bot!"

Metal Sonic stands up and face Robotnik.

Metal Sonic: "What is your wish, Master Robotnik?"

Robotnik: (grins) "Glad you ask. Your flesh counterpart and his friends are searching for some gemstones called Chaos Emeralds. Your mission is to find the Emeralds and bring them to me. And make sure you destroy Sonic and the Freedom Fighters."

Metal Sonic: "Very well master."

Robotnik: “Good, now go and do it!”

Then Metal Sonic flew out at high speed, as fast as Sonic.

(BGM: 3)
Later in the sky, Team Sonic detects another Emerald, in an area of Mountains and Machinery.

Sonic: "Where are we?"

Sally: "I think it's an area called Hot Crater."

Fiona: "Tell me about it. I'm sweating hard here..."

Tails: “Well, we better find the emerald and get out of here fast.”

Sonic: "I'll go and find the Emerald, you guys stay out of danger."

Then Sonic leaped down and land on a platform, leading to a path. Then Sonic speeds off to search for the Emerald in this volcanic area.

Sonic: “I feel bad for the guys. I’m not as hot as they are.”

Sonic stopped, at a lava river.

Sonic: "Better be careful not to get a hot foot."

Sonic looked around, and sees another route to the Emerald. Sonic took that and sees Egg Pawns with guns ready.

Egg Pawn: "Hedgehog found! Blast him!"

The Egg Pawns fired at Sonic, but Sonic was fast and avoid the gunfire and spin attack the Pawns, destroying them.

Sonic: “You guys are as lame as Stormtroopers.”

After Sonic made that joke, he went further and spots the Red Emerald.

Sonic: (picks it up) "Well, that's four. And funny that each color matches the area it's in..."

(BGM: 4)
Meanwhile, someone is watching Sonic from above and charges at him. He punches Sonic hard in the gut and slams him into a wall. Sonic recovers and sees a robot that looks like him. It's Metal Sonic.

Sonic: "What the?! Robotnik made a copy of me?"

Metal Sonic: "Correct flesh creature. My codename is Metal Sonic, and by order of Doctor Robotnik, you're sentence to roboticization."

Sonic: "You'll have to catch me first Metal head!"

Sonic speeds off and Metal Sonic pursuits. He shoots after him like a rocket. Sonic dodged Metal's attack, and kicks him, but no damage. Then Metal grabbed Sonic and toss him aside.

Sonic: "Owwww! That hurt!"

Meanwhile Tails and the others are getting worried.

Sally: “He's been gone too long.”

Elias: "We have to go and find Sonic."

Tails: "Right!"

(BGM: 5)
Then as they went to find Sonic, they see that Sonic is getting pummeled by Metal Sonic. They're shocked to see a robot copy of Sonic. Metal spots them.

Metal Sonic: “Freedom Fighters must be terminated.”

Metal then flew at the Team, but they split up and Elias shoots arrows from his gun to damage Metal, but they have no effect. Tails flew at Metal, and got him in a head lock, but Metal grabbed the flying fox and throws him down. Now Metal Sonic cornered Sally and Fiona, but Sally got her bo staff ready and she's in front of Fiona.

Sally: “Stay back!”

Metal Sonic: "Your threats don't faze me Princess..."

Sally: "I'll show you threats!"

Sally ran at the robot hedgehog, and whacked him with her staff, but no effect, and Metal Sonic backhanded Sally back to Fiona and they fell down. Then Sonic spindashed Metal Sonic and sends him flying, and he went to check on Sally and Fiona.

Sonic: "You okay Sal?"

Sally: (groans) “Yeah, I’m fine.”

Sonic: “Cool to know.” (offers his hand).

As Sally takes his hand, Fiona goes to Tails.

Fiona: "Tails? Are you okay?"

Tails: "Yeah, I'm fine. But Metal Sonic is really tough to beat."

Fiona: “Don't worry, we'll get him.”

Then Metal Sonic returned and confronted the Freedom Fighters. The Team and Metal glared at each other. Then Sonic and Metal charged at each other, and fought at high speeds. Sally watched and then she got an idea!

Sally: "I got a plan!" (to her teammates) "Come here..."

(BGM: 6)
Sally whispered her plan and the team agreed with it. While Sonic and Metal clashed with their spin attacks and kicks. Sonic cried out as Metal kicked him in the gut, sending him flying. He groaned as he looked up.

Sonic: “I got to admit, you’re tough.”

Metal Sonic: "That's because I'm based on you..."

Metal then performed a divebomb at Sonic but Sonic rolled out of the way, before Metal strikes the ground and Sonic's fist is glowing blue.

Sonic: "Sonic Wind!"

Then Sonic throws a wave of Chaos Energy at Metal, damaging him a bit. Metal Sonic, however, glows red a little and the damage is repaired. Sonic was surprised.

Sonic: "No way! How you do that?"

Metal Sonic: “Simple.” (holds up the red Chaos Emerald) “I’m based on you. I can heal myself with these.”

Sonic: "Oh no..."

Then Metal Sonic charged at Sonic, but Sonic dodged Metal's charge, and Sally ran to Sonic.

Sally: "Sonic! I got a plan!"

Then Sonic carried Sally away from Metal Sonic.

Sonic: "Okay, tell me..."

Sally: “We'll have to meet up with the others first.”

Sonic: "Okay..."

Then they see the others, and they hide from Metal Sonic.

Sonic: "Okay Sal, what's the plan?"

Sally: "You and Tails have to hold off Metal Sonic, while me, Elias and Fiona get to higher ground and I give the signal, Lure Metal to the trap."

Sonic: "Okay then..."

Sally: “Trust me, it will work.”

Sonic: “Okay, Sal, I trust ya.”

Then Sonic and Tails went out and Sally, Fiona and Elias went to higher ground. Then the duo faces Metal Sonic again.

Metal Sonic: "So, decided to face me."

Sonic: "That's right Metal, and now to bring you down!"

Then Sonic and Tails ran at the robot hedgehog and fought him! Tails threw Ring Bombs, while Sonic toss another Sonic Wind at Metal, but the robot then activates a Black Sheild to repel the attacks and charge at the heroes. They got knocked back but they recovered and fought Metal Sonic.

Meanwhile Sally, Fiona and Elias got to the top of the cliff and set rocks at the edge.

Elias: "Okay then, the rocks are set..."

Sally: “I'll give the signal.”

Then Sally waved her arms, signaling Sonic that the trap is ready. Sonic nodded and smirked at Metal Sonic.

Sonic: "Hey Metalhead! You may look like me, but you're still a knockoff!"

Metal Sonic: "I'll show you!"

Metal flew at Sonic and Sonic ran to the trap (set for Metal). Sonic signaled Sally, and she nodded.

Sally: "NOW!!!!"

Sally, Elias and Fiona pushed the rocks off the cliffs, and when Tails flew a Ring Bomb at Metal, it stuns him and the robot sees rocks and boulders crashing down.

Metal Sonic: “Uh oh..”

Metal gets hit by the rocks and buried alive in a big pile of rocks and dropped the Red Emerald in front of Sonic and he picks it up. Then he looks at the damaged Metal Sonic.

Sonic: (smirks) "There's only one Sonic the Hedgehog..."

(BGM: 7)
Later, Sonic, Tails, Sally, Elias and Fiona returned to the Tornado.

Sonic: "Man, Sal. That was an awesome plan."

Sally: “Thanks, but I couldn't have done it without the others.”

Elias: "Well, we're all just lucky, I guess."

Fiona: "Yeah and to think Robotnik almost got us with his new robot."

Tails: "We'll let get back on searching for the last three Emeralds."

Sonic/Elias/Sally/Fiona: "Right!"

(BGM: 8)
Then the heroes got onboard the Tornado and flew off, and back at Hot Crater at the damaged Metal Sonic, it's eye is activated and he brust out of the debris.

Metal Sonic: “You think you've won, but you will fail, heroes.”

Then he flew back to Robotropolis for repairs.

Well, Team Sonic won a hard battle with the mighty Metal Sonic and got the fourth Chaos Emerald. But will they be able to find the last three? And will Metal Sonic get his revenge on the heroes? Find out next time on Sonic X-Treme...
