Episode 44: War for Knothole!

(BGM: 1)
Things have gone intense for our heroes as they just defeated a powerful robot called the Kruzdu Hybrid Hydra, but now they're facing Talon the Owl along with Scourge and Anna. And what's worse, Snively found the location of Knothole and he's preparing to destroy the Freedom Fighters, once and for all.

At Robotropolis, the Dark Egg Legion got onboard their saucers to prepare for the invasion, while Snively (now wearing a yellow cape and helmet) got onboard Lien-Da's saucer.

Lien-Da: "What's with the cape and helmet?"

Snively: "Why, a good leader must be dress properly for my triumph. Now let's go and destroy Knothole and those Freedom Fighters!"

Lien-Da: (muttering) "Bald headed moron."

(BGM: 2)
At Knothole, the heroes were clashing with the villains. Sonic and Scourge are clashing at high speeds, while Tails and Fiona deals with Anna and the Freedom Fighters focus on Talon, who jumped back and shoots fire from his staff, while the heroes dodged.

Talon: (grins) "Feeling the heat yet, children?"

Antoine charge at Talon, and clash his sword on Talon's staff.

Antoine: "You make a big mistake coming to Knothole!"

Talon: "Mistake? Ha! You're the one who make a foolish one, facing me!"

Talon then kicks Antoine down.

Bunnie: "Sugar-Twan!" (glares at Talon) "You leave him alone you buzzard!"

She flew over at him and punched him so hard he went flying through several trees.

Talon: "Ohhh, the half Robian is powerful."

While he and Bunnie faced off, Tails and Fiona clashed with Anna, who smirked as she dodged a punch from Tails.

Anna: "You sure you still don't wanna date, Tailsy?"

Tails: "No thank you! Besides, you have to be stop along with Talon and Scourge!"

Tails spin dash at Anna, who jumped to avoid the attack, while Fiona grabs Anna in a headlock.

Fiona: "You monster! You killed my daddy, and I'll make sure he is avenged." *

Anna: "Please..." (elbows Fiona in the belly, and kicks her back) "He never cared for me, but only you! You should be happy you still have your mother. So cry home to her!"

Fiona growled as she got up and threw at punch at Anna, but the evil vixen caught it, and twists it with her cybernetic arm, while Fiona screams in pain.

Fiona: "AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!"

Anna: "I better increase it." (increases it)

Fiona: "AGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

Tails growled at this, before he spindash into Anna and slammed her into the wall of a hut. Turning her over, Tails grabbed Anna by her throat and started to strangle her, while his eyes turned red.

Tails: (dark voice) “Don't you DARE touch her!”

Anna: (grins) "Awww, are you mad at little old me?"

Tails growled more as his fur change from yellow to white and his eyes have a red spiral, meaning he's insane. Then Anna looks scared as she struggle to get out of Tails' grasp.

Anna: "O-O-Okay Fox Boy, that's enough..."

"Tails": (grins creepy) "Oh, Tails has left the building..."

Meanwhile, Sonic and Scourge are fighting in the Great Forest, as Scourge dodge a kick from Sonic.

Scourge: "Not bad Blue. But let's see if you can dodge this!"

Scourge spindash at Sonic and pummels him lots of time, as Sonic tries to get up, Scourge plants his foot on Sonic's head.

Scourge: "Ha Ha Ha! Look how the mighty have fallen!"

Sonic then shoots his foot up and hits Scourge in the groin, making him get off.

Scourge: “AGH!”

Sonic: “Think again, paint-boy!”

Then Sonic spindash at Scourge, knocking him to a tree. Before Sonic can fights Scourge, he senses something powerful.

Sonic: "What the? Chaos Energy here?"

(BGM: 3)
Sonic was wrong. Back at Knothole, Fiona got up and she hears a scream. It was Anna, as she was lifted up by "Tails", who broke through the roof and flew up so high. Then he grins wickedly at Anna.

"Tails": "You like to fly brat?"

Anna: (scared) "N-No! Please..."

"Tails": "Too bad..."

Then he tossed Anna into the Great Forest, and flew after her. While Fiona follows in pursuit.

Fiona: "Oh no. Tails would never try to kill anymore. I have to stop him before he kills Anna." (shook her head) "Can't believe I did that..."

As Fiona left, Talon spots Tails' new form.

Talon: "Interesting..."

Then he dodged another shot from Bunnie.

Bunnie: “Ah know what ya thinking, beaky, and ya gonna lose!”

Talon: “You'll have to try harder, Rabbot.”

With "Tails" he found Anna, who looked even more frightened as he approached her.

Anna: “P-Please don't hurt me!”

"Tails": “The only thing you'll be getting from me is that I'll erase your memory of me, then when you wake and see me, I'll do it again, and again, and again.”

He grabs Anna by the throat and starts to erase her memory of him.

???: "Tails Stop!"

"Tails" growls as he spots Fiona.

"Tails": "Back off girl! That furry skank will get a major headache as I erase her memory of me."

Anna: "HELP ME FIONA!!! I'M SORRY ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED WITH BENEDICT!!!"

Fiona: (to Tails, ignoring Anna's cries for help) "Tails please stop! I know you're in here. You would never kill anybody. You woke me up to see the light. Don't turn your back on your word... The word you gave to me..."

"Tails" thought for a second. He remembered what he said to Fiona when he was Tails. He couldn't go against her again. So, he dropped Anna to the ground, and he floated in front of Fiona. Then he turned back to normal, feeling dizzy.

Tails: "Fiona.... I'm sorry..."

Fiona: "It's okay Tailsy... Let's go and stop that old owl."

As Tails and Fiona left, Anna was hiding behind a tree. She looked back and cried a bit. She was close to death, but luckily her counterpart saved her life. Anna is feeling guilt and regret...

Back at Knothole, Talon is punched by Bunnie, while Sally whacks the owl with her staff.

Sally: "Now, Nicole!"

Nicole then traps Talon in a nanite cage.

Talon: "Blast it!"

Sally: "It's over Talon! As princess of the Kingdom of Acorn, I place you under arrest for your crimes!"

Talon: (grins) "I don't think so my dear child. Because I was just toying with you..."

Sally: “What do you mean?”

Talon: “What don't you look up?”

(BGM: 4)
Sally and Bunnie look up to see a fleet of saucers piloted by Dark Egg Legionnaires.

Sally: (gasps) "The Dark Egg Legion!"

Then Talon shots at fireball at Nicole, knocking her out, causing the cage to disappear. Then the Legionnaires are destroying the huts with their guns. Then Snively, Lien-Da and Kragok sees the sight of Knothole in flames.

Snively: "Ha Ha Ha! Now Knothole will be no more! I did something my uncle will never do..."

Kargok: "Snively! We spotted the Freedom Fighters in the south of the village."

Snively: "That must be the princess and her friends! Kargok, send some Swatbots there and capture them!"

Kragok: "Yes sir!"

Some Swatbots are deployed and start to attack the heroes, but they fought back hard. Bunnie shot two down, while Sally used her bo staff to take out the last two. Antoine recovered and stabbed another in the back, while Nicole gotten back up.

Sally: “Nicole, bring down their ships!”

Nicole: “I’m trying Sally, but my headache is stopping me.”

Then some Ring Bombs are thrown at the upcoming bots. It was Tails and Fiona, while Tails is half awake, Fiona was shocked to see robots and legionniares in the village.

Fiona: "What the hell? Robotnik found the village?!"

Sally: "I'm afraid so. We have to get the people away from Robotnik's forces and Talon also. You still have the Warp Ring?"

Fiona: "Yes..."

Sally: "Good, get the people somewhere safe, and fast!"

Fiona: "What about Robotnik and Talon?"

Sally: “I'll try and get Shard and Emerl back online, and fend off the attackers. I want Nicole to go with you.”

Fiona: “Okay.”

Fiona and Tails head to the middle of the village and gather the civilians. However, Amadeus, Rosemary, Jules, and Charles joined in the fight.

Amadeus: (cutting down a Swatbot) “This is our village!”

Jules: (shooting a Swatbot with his gun) "We won't let Robotnik in, so get out!"

Then Rosemary spots Tails, Fiona and Nicole.

Rosemary: "Fiona! Nicole! What happened to Tails?"

Fiona: "Anna nearly killed me, and Tails got mad and unleashed a new form that nearly killed her, but I wake him up and here he is."

Nicole: "Anyway, we have to get the civilians to a safe spot until the fight is over!"

Rosemary: "But where will we find a safe place?"

Then Fiona remembered something.

Fiona: "Angel Island! We do have Knuckles and the Chaotix there!"

Then Tails wakes up.

Tails: "What happened?"

Fiona: “I'll tell you as soon as we get to Angel Island.”

Tails: “Okay....”

Meanwhile, Sonic and Scourge were finishing their battle as Sonic noticed the invasion. Sonic knocked Scourge out with a headbutt and ran back to Knothole.

Sonic: "Crap! Eggman found Knothole?! This is not cool!"

Sonic boosted through the village and found Sally, in a safe spot, trying to get Emerl and Shard back online. She got the wires together and she's almost done.

Sonic: "Sal! Are you okay?"

Sally: "I am, but we have a big problem!"

Sonic: "I know. Eggman's forces are here. Are Shard and Emerl almost awake?"

Sally: “Just about. These two wires and...”

The Gizoid and robot hedgehog are awake.

Shard: “Whoa! What happened!?”

Emerl: “Where's Nicole!?”

Sally: “You guys were knocked out by the Hydra but Nicole is safe. Right now, though guys, Knothole is under attack and we need your help.” **

Emerl spots the Legionniares and got serious.

Emerl: "Those cybernetic jerks are making a big mistake! Let's go and kick their butts!"

Shard: (smirks) "My favorite time of the day!"

Sonic: (grins) "Let's do it to it!"

Then the boys ran at high speed, while Sally rolled her eyes.

Sally: "Boys..."

Then she joins them. While Talon is hiding from the Legion.

Talon: "Blast it! Those Dark Legion fools will be a problem, but at least they'll be killing those heroes for me..."

Then Scourge and Anna got back to him.

Scourge: "Yo Grandpa Owl, we better bail before those hoodies will get us..."

Talon: "Yes, we should." (looks at Anna) "You're quite slient..."

Anna: “You don't wanna know. Let’s just get back to the base. I need to think to myself.”

Talon: “Very well.”

They then vanish in a dark purple mist. With the heroes, they struck back against the villains. With the heroes, they struck back against the villains. Sonic and Shard spindash some Legionnaires down, while Sally whacks a few with her staff and kicks one into a tree, and Emerl shot some Chaos Spears against the Swatbots, destroying them.

Sally: "Keep it up guys! We might win!"

???: "I'm afraid not you brat!"

(BGM: 5)
The heroes look up and sees Snively, Lien-Da and Kragok, as the saucer lowered in front of them.

Snively: "You will not ruin the victory of Snively the Great!"

Shard: "You mean the great nerdling?"

Sonic, Sally and Emerl laughed a bit at Shard's joke.

Snively: "Silence! My uncle may have failed lots of times, but now I know of Knothole's location, you fool better give up!"

Sally: "The Freedom Fighters never give up and you should leave now! Besides we still has Emerl and Shard on our side!"

Snively: “Well then, let’s see if you can defeat my mech!”

Then a green robot lands in front of the heroes and Snively got onboard. ***

Snively: "Now you rats! Prepare to face my Great Beater!"

Then the Beater swings it's fist, but Sonic dodged it with his speed.

Sonic: "You have to try faster Needlenose!"

Snively: "Good idea!"

Snively launch missiles at Sonic, but Sonic ran to avoid them, while Emerl and Shard strike the Beater with their spin attacks.

Snively: "Hey! Stop it you tin cans!"

Sonic: “Now where would the fun be in that?”

Shard and Emerl destroyed the missiles quickly and hard.

Shard: “Let’s what else you have, Nosey!”

Snively: "Gladly."

Snively then shoots electric balls at the hedgehog and robots, but they dodge them fast, but one hits Shard and he's stunned.

Sonic: "Shard!"

Shard: "I'm... fine..."

Snively: "You won't be any longer!"

Snively charge up a really big one, and before he can launch it, Sally jumped and whacked the Beater with her bo staff, but no effect. Then it grabs Sally and Snively glared at her.

Sally: "Let me go you creep!"

Snively: "Oh I'll let you go, the hard way!"

Snively toss Sally to a tree, knocking her out.

Sonic: (shocked) "Sal!"

Sonic ran to her, but Snively punches Sonic sending him flying into a hut.

Sonic: (tries to get up) "Big mistake... Slimey..."

Snively: "Bring it!"

Sonic ran at Snively's Beater, but he grabs Sonic and slam him on the ground, while Shard and Emerl watched.

Shard: "We have to bring down that Needlenose! Any ideas?"

Emerl: "I do! I'll help Sonic fight off the robot, while you get Sally to safety."

Shard: "Buddy, I can get anybody safe from harm."

Then Shard flew to Sally and carry her to safety while Emerl spin dash the Beater.

Snively: "What?! No!"

Then Sonic got up and toss Sonic Wind at the Beater, as it's sparking.

Sonic: "Almost there."

Then Sonic gotten the Beater, and it's legs blew off.

Snively: “NOOOOO!”

Then Snively's Beater fell over and Snively escaped the robot.

Snively: "You rats may have destroyed my robot, but Knothole will burn to the ground!"

Then Snively ran off, while Sonic got ahead and grab Snively by the shirt.

Sonic: "That's enough shorty! Tell your buddies to stay out or else!"

Snively: "Or else what?"

Sonic: "This!"

Then Sonic spin around really fast, while Snively is scared.

Snively: “AHHHHHH! STOP! Stop! I promise, I'll leave you alone!”

Snively contacts the saucers.

Snively: “Dark Egg Legion! Retreat! That's an order!”

Lien-Da: (voice) "What?! But we have them at our mercy!"

Snively: "I'll explain later! Just retreat!"

Emerl: "Good! Now beat it small fry!"

Then Snively ran off, while Sonic and Emerl high five each other.

Sonic/Emerl: "Oh yeah!"

(BGM: 6)
Later, the Dark Egg Legion retreated and everyone was happy that Knothole isn't fully destroyed, but some aren't happy, like Sally.

Sally: "We may have won, but now Robotnik's forces and Talon known of Knothole's location, we aren't safe."

Shard: "Why? We beaten those Dark Egg Losers."

Sally: "Yes, but they'll be back..."

Sonic: “Actually Sal, Tails and I were talking to his uncle, and he said he can create an energy shield so powerful no one could see it.”

Sally: “Really?”

Sonic: “Yeah. Where is Tails by the way?”

Sally: "Oh he's on Angel Island."

Sonic: "Huh?"

In the Hidden Palace, Athair checks on Tails, while Fiona, Knuckles, Nicole and Julie-Su watched.

Fiona: (worried) "Will Tails be okay?"

Knuckles: "You sure Tails has some demon inside of him?"

Athair: "Afraid so Knuckles... You see, the Chosen One has Hyperion inside of him..."

Julie-Su: "Hyperion, what's that?"

Athair: “It's one of Tails' dark, out of control forms. He is Tails' hyper form. He is very powerful, and is quite...insane. He's very sadistic.”

The girls gasps at this.

Knuckles: "Is there a way to cure him or rid of Hyperion?"

Athair: "I'm afraid not Knuckles. Unless Tails here can control that beast."

Fiona: "Well I did tame it when it nearly tried to kill Anna..."

Athair: "Who's Anna?"

Fiona: "My evil twin."

Athair: "Ah..."

Nicole: "Anyway, you know of some group called the Dark Egg Legion?"

Julie-Su: "We have. They invaded Angel Island to try to get the Master Emerald but failed."

Fiona: "Good to know."

Julie-Su: "Yeah, so anyway, need some help fighting off the Legion?"

Nicole then got a call from Sally from her commuter.

Nicole: "Yes? The Legion retreated? Understood, we'll be back soon." (to the others) "Seems like the Freedom Fighters saved Knothole for now, we should return."

Fiona: "Okay then... I hope Hyperion will be under control..."

Tails then sat up, looking a little tired.

Tails: “I've just met and he is nuts.”

Fiona: “You just met him? How?”

Tails: “In my head.”

Hyperion: (voice) "So, when we'll me and Fiona make out?"

Tails: (to Hyperion) "You're not hurting Fiona!"

Hyperion: (voice) "Hurt her? I only wanted to chat with her..."

Knuckles: "This is awkward..."

(BGM: 7)
Meanwhile, Snively and the DEL returned to Robotropolis, disappointed.

Lien-Da: "I can't believe you aborted the invasion. We thought you were a better leader then Robotnik but we were wrong."

Kragok: "I agree here."

Snively: "Look, just give me another chance. We will defeat the Freedom Fighters..."

Lien-Da: “We will, but if you even start behaving like a cowardly worm.” (gets her whip out) “I won't be nice.”

Snively: “I promise! In fact I know someone can help us!”

Kragok: “Oh yeah?”

Snively: "Yes."

Lien-Da: "Who's this your friend?"

Snively: “She calls herself the Iron Queen.”

Lien-Da and Kragok look at each other.

(BGM: 8)
Meanwhile at Talon's Base, Talon, Scourge and Anna returned and Vlad walked up to him.

Vlad: "Did you finish those Freedom Fighters?"

Talon: "Afraid not, but I'm assuming that they survived the Dark Legion, mostly the Chosen One. It appears that Tails has a dark form unleashed."

Vlad: "Interesting..."

Anna: “Oh don't bring him up.”

Scourge: “Aw c'mon, he couldn't have been that creepy!”

Anna: “He was, you moron! If you saw him, you would've wet yourself on the spot!”

Then she stormed to her room and cried, thinking of Fiona. Anna brought of a ripped photo of Benedict and she regretted killing him off.

Anna: (sobbing) "All I want is love and support..."

Scourge tries knocking on Anna's door.

Scourge: "Anna! Come on out!"

Talon: "Leave her be Scourge. We have other business to deal with."

Then Talon and Scourge left, planning their next move.

Scourge: "What now boss?"

Talon: "Oh, I'll think of a good plan..."

Whoa, Tails' dark form is revealed as Hyperion and the Freedom Fighters manage to hold off the Dark Egg Legion. But what will they do now the villains know their location? And who is the Iron Queen? Find out next time on Sonic X-Treme!!!
